The Vertu Constellation collection is the third range of Vertu cellphones introduced into the market, after the classic Signature series and the sporty Ascent line. Frank Nouvo, Vertu's principal designer, revealed in a press statement that the "Vertu Constellation design was conceived in order to complement both of these Vertu originals and reinforce the style and design quality of the Vertu brand".

The Vertu Constellation is named in honour of post-military aeroliner Constellation. Collection Constellation is presented by seven models: from high-end quality stainless steel or gold and with furnish from a genuine leather. The small image of a propeller on the case in the field of a microphone became highlight of Constellation.
