Defying the current retreat of luxury brands from the technology segment, handcrafted mobile phone maker Vertu is staying the course. Its recently launched boutique in Singapore’s ION Orchard mall – its third in the island republic – represents the brand’s determination to carve out its own space in the style capitals of the world. By 2010, Vertu projects that it will have more than 80 boutiques worldwide.
"As the demand for the brand continues to grow, Vertu has seen stronger global retail presence in key cities including Paris, Milan, New York, and Tokyo, to name a few.
